Comic took acid on the It's A Small World ride

Ruby Wax has told how she was banned from Disneyland after getting high on the It's A Small World boat ride.

The comedian recalled how she once dropped acid at the theme-park’s family-friendly boat ride – and started to get involved.

‘[I] got out of the canoe or whatever that was and joined the Hawaiians going "It’s A Small World"… They stopped everything and escorted me back to my raft and said "never come to Disneyland again".

But as they were being driven away she ‘jumped out of the van and ran toward the next ride. But they said: ‘That’s a gas works Ruby, get back in.’

Speaking on the Outsiding podcast hosted by Caitlin Moran and Adam Frost, Wax also said she demanded to audition to be Tinkerbell, who flies over Sleeping Beauty Castle.

‘[I] demanded to see a manager,’ she said. ‘They said, am I an aerialist? And I became quite huffy. Am I an aerialist? God's sake. Of course I am. Yeah, they just crossed out the application for me.’
