Who's up for the Broadcast Digital Awards 2022?

Meet the Richardsons has been nominated for two Broadcast Digital Awards.

The Dave show about the fictionalised married life of Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont is up for ‘gamechanger programme of the year’ in the industry awards – as we;l as being shortlisted for best comedy.

Also nominated in that category are Brassic for Sky, Tim Renkow’s Jerk for BBC Three,  Liam Williams’s Ladhood for BBC Three,  Rose Matafeo's Starstruck for BBC Three and The Stand Up Sketch Show for ITV2.

Meanwhile, Comedy Central sketch show East Mode with Nigel Ng and Lucy Pearman’s BBC pilot Please Help are up for best short-form scripted show alongside Skinny Fat, The Break: Oh Toni, The Break: Rude and  Zen School of Motoring, all made for the BBC.

Up for best entertainment show are Sky’s revival of Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Munya Chawawa’s YouTube series Race Around Britain. They are up against the BBC’s Eating With My Ex, Sky Arts spoken word showcase  Life & Rhymes, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and  The Culture Capsule, as hosted by KG Tha Comedian for Channel 5’s digital platforms.

Comedy Central’s Drunk History sketches focussing on Black History Month have also been nominated in the short form category alongside the BBC natural history show After We've Gone, Lad Bible’s Agree to Disagree, MTV’s Queerpiphany Snapchat’s Reunited and Channel 4’s Secret Sauce

Winners will be announced on July 5, with the nominees across all categories listed here.
