ALFIE BROWN - IMAGINATION: The comic’s latest ‘philosophical and obscene’ special, filmed in Glasgow’s Oran Mor just days before the first lockdown hit last March, has been released on YouTube for free. Described as ’truly subversive and almost torridly honest,’ the show explores individuality, sexuality and ‘trying to feel at home in the away end’.

Tonight

JOHN-LUKE ROBERTS: STDAD-UP: The comedian has just discovered a tape of this rightly acclaimed 2015 Edinburgh Fringe show - and will be streaming it live on YouTube tonight. It's his take on the 'dead dad show' that had become the stuff of festival cliché by this point, a bizarre physical tribute to a man he didn't much like. Tickets are available from Go Faster Stripe, priced a fiver. Here is our review from the time.

JUST THE TONIC: WORKING FROM HOME: There's always a strong line-up from the Nottingham-based club, and tonight's virtual offering is no exception with a bill that includes Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Larry Dean, Marcel Lucont, Sindhu Vee, Tom Binns and many more. Tickets are available here

DREAMING WHILST BLACK: A new BBC comedy pilot from up-and-coming film-maker Adjani Salmon, based on his web series about... well, being an up-and-coming film-maker, lands on iPlayer today. The cast includes Will Hislop, Alexander Owen, Toby Williams and Tom Stourton.

Thursday April 22:

THE Paul Chowdhry PUDCAST: Another comedian launches another podcast - with Chowdhry focussing on the turning points in his guests’ lives. Those lined up to appear include Russell Howard, London Hughes, Goldie, James Acaster and The Libertines’ Gary Powell . Chowdhry said: his podcast, which launches on Global Player and elsewhere today, is ''different to the other trillion out there because it’s the Paul Chowdhry PudCast, innit.'

PARTY POLITICAL PODCAST: Comic Matt Forde scores a scoop for the first livestreamed version of his political chat show - Tony Blair. It could be awkward because at the Chortle Comedy Book Festival last year, the comedian revealed how in his days as a Labour activist, he drunkenly jabbed the then Prime Minister in the chest after a party at Chequers. Tickets for the live stream are available here, priced £10.
