Starring Alexa Davies, Charlotte Ritchie, Will Merrick, Sargon Yelda and David Mumeni, the player’s excitement at a new instalment of their favourite is quickly quashed when they discover it overrun by a younger generation of players. RESIDENT ALIEN: Based on the Dark Horse comic series, this sci-fi comedy-mystery-drama leaves no genre uncovered. Alan Tudyk  stars  as Harry Vanderspeegle – a small-town Colorado doctor who’s definitely not an alien  (spoiler alert: he is).

QI: Bill Bailey, Katy Brand and Eshaan Akbar guest tonight. BBC Two, 9pm
