Mel B quits Celebrity Juice

Spice Girl last just two series

Mel B has quit Celebrity Juice after just two seasons as captain.

The news comes just weeks after Holly Willoughby announced she was stepping down from the Keith Lemon-fronted show after 12 years

The Spice Girl  originally replaced Paddy McGuinness, who in turn had replaced Fearne Cotton after 10 years on the show.

A Celebrity Juice  spokesperson confirmed: ‘Mel has been a brilliant team captain and we'd like to thank her for all the laughs. We have no doubt she'll be back to banter with Keith as a guest on the show in the near future.’

Mel B will be tied up with a Spice Girls world tour next year, marking the group's 25th anniversary.

The panel show is expected to return in the autumn for its 24th series.

Last month Keith Lemon creator Leigh Francis issued a tearful apology for using blackface on his old Bo’Selecta show after TV presenter Trisha Goddard described how hurtful it was to her and her daughter.
