Big-name American comedians including Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy, and Billy Crystal are to take place in a live-streaming fundraiser next month.

The benefit, for Feeding America, will air on Comedy.TV and bizarrely, the Weather Channel in the States – and also be available on the Local Now now, which is available outside the US.

Also taking part in the show, to be co-produced by Funny Or Die, are Marlon Wayans, Howie Mandel, Tiffany Haddish, Margaret Cho, Kenan Thompson, Marc Maron, Jon Lovitz, Caroline Rhea and many more. They will all be contributing pre-recorded comedy segments.

The TV outlets involved are all part of the Allen Media Group, whose boss Byron Allen said: ‘Laughter is often the best medicine, and we are extremely motivated to bring attention to issues of food insecurity and to assist in providing meals to families across the country who are financially impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.’

The show will broadcast from 8-11 pm Eastern Time on Saturday May 9 – or 1am to 4am UK time in the early hours of Sunday.
