Despite it all, more Edinburgh Fringe shows go on sale

Including Simon Amstell, Jason Manford and Reginald D Hunter

It may not be the right time to be thinking of it – but a new tranche of shows have just gone on sale for this year's Edinburgh Fringe.

Although there is huge uncertainty in the live entertainment industry, festival organisers are fully intending that this year's event will go ahead in August.

Big names doing work in progress include Jason Manford at Underbelly and Simon Amstell and Reginald D Hunter at Pleasance – though Amstell's two-week run is in the 800-seat Grand at £17.50 a ticket.

Festival stalwarts Marcus Brigstocke and Mark Watson are returning to the Pleasance, with Paul Foot and Mitch Benn playing the Underbelly

Other acclaimed names at the Pleasance include Sarah Keyworth, Angela Barnes Sidhu Vee, Fin Taylor, Catherine Bohart and Sean McLoughlin.

Meanwhile trans comic Cassie Workman will be bringing her acclaimed show Giantess to the Underbelly, following a slew of positive reviews from its run in the Australian festivals last year (read Chortle's here).

Chortle's Fast Fringe is also returning, showcasing 12 top comedy and variety acts daily at 6.50pm in AceDome (Tickets)

And the much-hated Silent Disco Walking tours are also returning, courtesy of Underbelly.

Tickets are available from venue websites.
