...but there are no clues about her role

Andi Osho has joined the cast of Line Of Duty.

However, her role is shrouded in secrecy with the BBC refusing to give any details of her character, even her name.

The broadcaster has shared a teaser photograph as the sixth instalment of Jed Mercurio's hit thriller began filming this week – but would disclose precious little extra information.

It was previously announced that Kelly Macdonald would star as the DCI investigating an unsolved murder case and that regulars Vicky McClure, Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar will all return.

Osho was recently seen in Sky One’s Fast And The Furious-style series Curfew and the Channel 4 crime drama mini-series Kiri

And last month Chortle reported how the comic has signed a deal to write her debut novel, due out in February next year. Asking For A Friend will revolve around three best friends who ditch the dating apps and ask people out in real life on behalf of each other.
