Duo developing new comedy ideas

 Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton have signed an exclusive deal with the BBC’s independent programme-making arm.

The contract means that BBC Studios will get first refusal on new comedy and comedy-drama projects being developed by the  Inside No 9 creators/

Josh Cole, head of comedy for BBC Studios Production saif: ‘Reece and Steve are two of the most extraordinarily talented and distinctive creators working today. Their gift for comic storytelling knows no bounds  and we’re hugely excited to be developing new projects with them.

In a statement, Shearsmith and  Pemberton said: ‘We are delighted to continue working under the umbrella of BBC Studios.
