Jack Dee announces new stand-up tour

His first in six years

Jack Dee is to return to stand-up for the first time in six years.

His new tour is entitled Off The Telly – most likely a nod to how ITV axed his sitcom Bad Move earlier this year.

The famously grouchy comedian said: 'In these difficult and uncertain times people need hope – a ray of sunshine to brighten their day. And that’s very much where I come in.'

His credits include Jack Dee’s Helpdesk on BBC Two, C4’s The Jack Dee Show, ITV’s Jack Dee’s Saturday Night, BBC’s Jack Dee’s Happy Hour and Jack Dee Live at the Apollo. 'In fact, I’ve probably appeared in every TV show with my name in the title,' he joked.

So far 38 dates have been announced, kicking off in Tewkesbury in Gloucesetershire on September 11 and ending on December 7 in Monmouth. Click here for the full schedule.

Tickets go on sale at 10am tomorrow.
