We see tour dates in Clinton Baptiste's future

Phoenix Nights' hapless psychic to hit the road

Clinton Baptiste, the dubious psychic from Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, is to go on his own tour.

The character played by Alex Lowe is playing 17 dates this autumn – 18 years after the Channel 4 series aired.

He appeared in one episode of the show, making offensive comments to the club audience under the guise of being messages from the other side.

The blurb for the tour, entitled The Paranormalist Returns, says: ‘Clinton will give readings to the audience, offering advice from beyond the grave. He will predict your future, tell you about your past and all manner of spooky stuff an’ that.’

And it also makes clear that the character ‘is the copyright of Goodnight Vienna Productions’ – Kay’s production company.

Lowe, also known on the circuit for his other alter-ego, Barry From Watford, reprised Clinton Baptiste for the 2015 Phoenix Nights stage show.
