Revealed: Who's in the celeb version of Bake-Off

...including quite a few comics

Russell Brand,  James Acaster, Johnny Vegas, Jon Richardson and Joe Wilkinson are among the stars taking part in a celebrity version of Great British Bake-Off.

Channel 4 is to air five special episodes of the cookery show from next week in aid of its annual Stand Up to Cancer appeal.

Others taking part include Our Girl’s Michelle Keegan, former Newsnight presenter Jeremy Paxman, US actor John Lithgow and Love Island‘s Caroline Flack.

Brand said his wife Laura Gallacher has been teaching him how to cook as he didn't pay much attention to his mother's baking

He said: ‘My mum was always baking cakes - if only I had paid attention I could have had that knowledge. My mum also had cancer a lot when I was a kid. I paid attention to the cancer, just not to the baking, otherwise I'd have been a lot better at it,’

Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith remain as judges with Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig hosting.

The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off will air from Tuesday  March 5 at 8pm on Channel 4.
