Making a guest appearance as 'mummy's boy' Eamonn

Ardal O’Hanlon is to make a guest appearance in the second series of Derry Girls, Channel 4 has announced.

The Father Ted and Death In Paradise star will play Eamonn, the awkward, middle-aged mummy’s boy of the Quinn/McCool extended family.

Series 2 of the comedy has wrapped filming and will return to screens with six new half-hour episodes next month.

Creator Lisa McGee previously worked with O'Hanlon on London Irish, and previously said: 'He just has that real unique thing that you just love watching him. He's funny and you like him, he has that likability.'
