Comedians' Comedian: Jeremy Hardy

Radio 4 carried tributes to Jeremy Hardy yesterday, including dedicating part of The News Quiz to his former contributions. But oddly they have made no other of his considerable contributions to their station available on the much-vaunted Sounds platform, even though this would surely be an easily achieved tribute to his considerable body of work.

So instead, why not listen to this 2017 edition of the Comedians' Comedian podcast,  in which he talks to host Stuart Goldsmith about what people most often get wrong about the birth of alternative comedy, his precise choice of words and analogies, and explore why he hates being labelled a political comic. .Listen here.

Myq Kaplan: Small, Dork, and Handsome

his American had a great, if largely overlooked, show at last year's Edinburgh Fringe. Now his 2014 special has landed on Amazon Prime, establishing him as a fast-paced, quirky and rather nerdy stand-up. Watch here.

Awkward Sex And The City

Created by New York stand-up Natalie Wall, this was originally a live storytelling show in the States, but now has been launched as a 'revealing and cringeworthy podcast'.

Each week, a guest discusses real stories about their sexual exploits and revelations with the host in what aims to be a celebration of the inherent awkwardness of sex.

Guests include Arti Gollapud from The Handmaid's Tale: The Musical and Jessy Caron of the YouTube series Welcome To My Vagina podcast. Listen here.

Scott Bennett: Leap Year

Nottingham-based was approaching his 40th birthday when he quit his well-paid job as a product designer to devote himself full-time to comedy. In this stand-up show – released on subscription service NextUp yesterday – he explores the conflicting pressures of artistic vocation against the obigations of parenthood.
