Tied in with his new book

Sir Michael Palin has announced a live tour.

 The Monty Python star will be presenting a one-man stage show to mark the paperback publication of his book, Erebus: The Story of A Ship.

In the first part of the show, Palin tells the story of HMS Erebus, a small Royal Naval ship that took on the Antarctic and the Arctic in the 1840s.

In the second half, he tells his own life story, including Monty Python, Ripping Yarns and the TV travel series that have taken him  from the North Pole to North Korea – including previously unseen footage.

The tour runs for 12 nights across England, starting in Bournemouth on June 7 and ending in Bath a month later.
