Jack Whitehall lands a role in The Queen's Corgi

He plays the lead

Jack Whitehall is to take the lead role in a new animated movie called The Queen’s Corgi.

The comic will voice Rex, the top dog in Buckingham Palace who winds up in a home for tough strays. 

To be released next July the family comedy  is the latest move in Whitehall’s movie career following his role in Disney’s The Nutcracker and The Fourth Realm and the forthcoming Jungle Cruise.

Ray Winstone Sheridan Smith  and Matt Lucas voice Rex’s canine pals. Tyson, Wanda and Charlie.

Julie Walters  is the voice of  The Queen with Tom Courtenay as the voice of The Duke of Edinburgh. 

Rounding out the voice cast are impressionists Jon Culshaw as Donald Trump and Debra Stevenson as Melania, plus Sarah Hadland, Colin McFarlane, Nadia Wadia, Iain McKee and Kulvinder Ghir.
