New departure for actress

Inbetweeners star Emily Atack is to embark on her first comedy tour.

The 28-year-old actress, who also appeared in the 2016 big-screen remake of Dad's Army, has announced a string of dates for the spring.

Entitled Talk Thirty To Me, the show promises to be a ‘live memoir of anecdotes, impressions and tales of an actress in her twenties’ in which she will talk about ‘today’s anxiety inducing world of scrolling through social media, swiping right, slimming apps and the never ending search for "the one".’

Atack is the daughter of comedian Kate Robbins and musician Keith Atack, formerly of 1970s pop band Child.

Her role as Charlotte Hinchcliffe in the hit E4 comedy was her breakout role.

She went on to be a contestant in ITV's Dancing on Ice in 2010, and has appeared in comedy shows  such as Rock and Chips, The Keith Lemon Sketch Show, The Tracey Ullman Show  and Birds Of A Feather.

But she only made her stage debut in 2016, sharing the role of Holly Golightly on a UK tour of Breakfast at Tiffany’s with Pixie Lott – and with no stand-up experience her new show marks a significant departure.

Earlier this month she made the tabloids over a supposed flirtation with Seann Walsh, and she has been rumoured to be taking part in the next series of I’m A Celebrity – which would no doubt give ticket sales for the tour a boost.

Here are the dates announced so far.
