SALLY4EVER: Fans of black comedy will be celebrating - if they have Sky Atlantic - as Julia Davis's follow-up to 2016's Camping begins. She writes, directs and stars in this show about a woman's sexual reawakening. Sally (Catherine Shepherd) has been living a comfortable but crushingly dull life with her partner of 10 years, David. But when he botches an attempted proposal, it leads Sally to embark on a stormy and chaotic affair with seductive and unpredictable bohemian artist Emma (Davis). The show also features a host of other British comedy stars, including Alex Macqueen, Julian Barratt (aka Davis's other half), Mark Gatiss and Felicity Montagu. Read an interview with Davis here. Sky Atlantic, 10pm

Friday October 26

THE MASH REPORT: Producing a sarcastic topical comedy show in the mould of all the US satires is hard to do well, but Nish Kumar and the team - including Rachel Parris, Ellie Taylor, Steve N. Allen – did a more-than-creditable job straight out of the gate with the Mash Report, as its viral video viewings prove. Series two returns just in time to see the government implode over Brexit yet again... BBC Two, 10pm

STAND UP TO CANCER Adam Hills, Alan Carr and Maya Jama host Channel 4's star-studded night of entertainment and fundraising, featuring the likes of James Corden, The Muppets, Stephen Merchant, Sharon Horgan, David Mitchell and many many others. Channel 4, 7pm
