Liverpool Anglican Cathedral to host tribute

Sir Ken Dodd's funeral will be held at Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral on Wednesday March 28, it has been announced.

Fans are invited to join family and friends in paying tribute to the comedian, who died on Monday at the age of 90.

Canon Myles Davies, the acting dean of the cathedral, said: ‘Sir Ken was a well-known presence in our cathedral regularly attending worship with us. 

‘His character and humour affected us all and we are honoured to be able to help family and friends say their farewells.’

The service, at 1pm,  will be followed by a private internment.
