Ken Dodd slams 'monsters' who spread rumours he was dead
Sir Ken Dodd said internet users who spread rumours of his death were ‘monsters’ who will be punished by God.
The fake reports circulated last week after the 90-year-old comic was admitted to hospital with a serious chest infection.
In an interview from his hospital bed, Sir Ken slated those who had spread the rumours, saying: ‘They are horrible monsters. I don’t think they are human beings. I think they are evil. But I think they will get theirs. I can tell you now, there is a God and he will punish them.
However in his interview with the Liverpool Echo he spoke of his determination to get back on stage, aiming to put on a charity show in April or May.
Sir Ken said: ‘I have been to a very dark place. But I will get out and come into the sunshine.’
He also praised the NHS team who have been caring for hi at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital.
