Stand-up lands breakfast show gig

Comic Glenn Moore has joined the Absolute Radio breakfast show.

The stand-up will be reading the sports news, as well as being one of Christian O’Connell’s sidekicks on the show, which is on from 6am to 10am on weekdays.

His first appearance this morning came on the back of Moore’s Mock The Week debut on Friday.

Moore, who O’Connell has likened to a ‘young Stephen Fry’, replaces Matt Dyson, who is moving to Dave Berry’s afternoon show.

The comic has previously appeared alongside Vernon Kay, Johnny Vaughan and Ricky Wilson on Radio X as a newsreader.

He was a finalist in So You Think You’re Funny? and a runner-up in the Chortle Student Comedy Awards early in his career and is half of the sketch duo Thunderbards.
