Alex Horne plays the Percentage Game

Developing a new TV show with Tim Key

Alex Horne is developing a new TV series based on his 2014 Edinburgh Fringe show The Percentage Game.

The live show had an audience of exactly 100 people, which the comedian used to illustrate various statistics.

Tomorrow afternoon Horne – who created Taskmaster for Dave –  is running through a possible TV version with a panel of 100 vegetarians at  Kings Place in London.

He is working with his long-term collaborator Tim Key on the show.

Producers Avalon say: ‘Our panel of one hundred people will be on hand to help Alex and Tim demonstrate and explain various facts and statistics about the world.’

Last month, BBC One commissioned The Button, a game show set in people’s houses, which was also devised by Horne and will be made by Avalon. Eight half-hour shows were ordered.

Audience tickets for tomorrow’s run-through of The Percentage Game are available here - but it is not known which, if any, broadcaster it is being developed for.

Horne performed the show for just two nights at the 2014 Fringe, where he was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for his main show, Monsieur Butterfly.
