Al Murray to make his panto debut

Oh yes he is

Al Murray is making his pantomime debut this Christmas

The Pub Landlord comic will play Idle Al in Jack and the Beanstalk at the New Wimbledon Theatre in South London.

Last year, Tim Vine played the same role – but under the character’s traditional name Idle Jack – at the same theatre.

Murray will appear alongside veteran dame Clive Rowe in the production from panto specialists Qdos Entertainment.

Its managing director Michael Harrison said: ‘We are thrilled Al Murray will make what promises to be an unmissable and hilarious pantomime debut.’

This will be the first version of Jack and the Beanstalk at the New Wimbledon in 15 years, and runs from December 9 to January 14.
