Joel Dommett to join I'm A Celeb...

Comic lands in Australia

Joel Dommett is to take part in the new series of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The comedian touched down in Brisbane Airport at 8am on Sunday local time, in preparation for the new series.

Dommett previously appeared in E4’s Skins and was a team captain on Sky1’s Bring The Noise. Speaking to Chortle last month. he said that marked a career highlight as he hung out with Nicole Scherzinger.

The 16th series of I’m A Celebrity is due to start next Sunday on ITV.

The Sun reported that Dommett’s arrival in Australia signified he was to appear on the reality show. Carol Vorderman, broadcaster Danny Baker – who will embark on his first stand-up tour next year – and Gogglebox personality Scarlett Moffat are all rumoured to be taking part too. But Baker poo-poohed the idea, posting on Twitter: 'Chums, the very idea is preposterous'.

It was previously announced that comic Chris Ramsey was joining the presenting team of ITV2 spin-off I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp.
