E4 orders a second series

Channel 4 has ordered a second series of hidden camera show Bad Robots for E4.

Six more half-hour episodes have been commissioned from Objective Productions, featuring mischievously malfunctioning machines.

The first series averaged at 439,000 viewers, up 28 per cent on the slot average. It also did particularly well with the channel’s key demographic,Channel 4 say, with 56 per cent of its audience being aged 16-34 year-olds.

The machines are voiced by actors and comedians including Catastrophe's Rob Delaney, with Sir Michael Gambon.

Channel 4 commissioner Laura Riseam said: 'We are so pleased with the success of the first series and can’t wait to unleash the troublemaking machines on the unknowing public once again.'

The pre-watershed version, Bad-ish Robots will also be back.
