C4 reveals its autumn/winter line-up

Channel 4 has announced its autumn and winter schedule, with several new comedy shows in the pipeline.

The line-up includes a full series of Anna Crilly and Katy Wix’s sketch show, a return of Ricky Gervais’s Derek and a new trilogy of Black Mirror films from Charlie Brooker.

There will also be another Channel 4 Mash Up in January, in which Alan Carr will host Million Pound Drop, and the 8 Out Of 10 Cats team will take on Deal Or No Deal.

The comedy programmes in the new series – all of which have been previously announced – are:

Anna & Katy's Television Programme Six part series from Anna Crilly and Katy Wix due to air in 2013, following the success of a Comedy Lab pilot, which will also feature other talents from the sketch comedy circuit.

An Audience With Adam Hills (working title): A stand-up special recorded at the Lyric Theatre in London's West End, airing in December as part of Hills’s new year-long deal with Channel 4.

Black Mirror: Three new films written by Charlie Brooker. Shane Allen, who has just left as head of comedy to join the BBC said: ‘Charlie Brooker exudes that same pioneering spirit of Dennis Potter and Chris Morris with their daring, complex, compelling originality.’

The British Comedy Awards: Jonathan Ross returns as host, for the show that goes out live on December 12.

Derek: Ricky Gervais’s controversial comedy about a ‘tender, innocent man’ who works in a retirement home returns next year.

Full English An animated show about a typical English family , the Johnons, with voices provided by Richard Ayoade, Kayvan Novak, Daisy Haggard, Rosie Cavaliero and Lucy Montgomery.

The Mimic A sitcom written by Matt Morgan that tells the the story of Martin Hurdle (Terry Mynott), a seemingly unremarkable maintenance man who has an uncanny ability to mimic voices.

Peep Show Returning for an eighth season in November.

The Unseen Frankie Howerd: Never-before-seen footage is revealed in a new 90-minute documentary, including pilots, home movie footage and material from his live stand up show. It will air in December.
