TV catches Adam Buxton's Bug

Cult live show goes to air

Adam Buxton’s cult video show Bug is to be made into a TV series.

The comedian has been touring the festivals since 2007 with his show, which affectionately mocks music videos and the online comments they attract.

Now the format is to be transferred to the big screen, with five half-hour episodes being recorded from next week for Sky Atlantic.

Buxton – one half of the Adam and Joe double act – says: ‘I tell people that Bug is like going round to a friend’s house and having them open up their laptop and show you interesting and amusing things they’ve found or made, except not as tedious as that sounds.’

The series – to be recorded in front of an audience at London’s Riverside Studios – will be presented as lecture, with the featured videos mixed with short films Buxton has made himself.
