Lloyd creates best online buzz of the Fringe

Character comedian Cariad Lloyd generated the best online buzz of the Edinburgh Fringe, according to crowd-sourcing research.

Lloyd – whose Free Fringe show was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for best newcomer – came top of a chart compiled by EdTwinge.com.

The website compiles real-time festival show ratings based on Twitter traffic, combining both the quantity of tweets and whether they are good or bad to generate a ‘karma rating’.

Lloyd's debut, Lady Cariad’s Characters, scored 95 points on the scale, from 150 tweets.
