Back on stage after 20+ years

Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David is planning a return to stand-up – after more than 20 years away from the stage.

He was stand-up for 15 years, although he had a reputation for walking off the stage if he felt the audience wasn't paying him the attention he thought he deserved.

But he’s keen to return to live performance, now people would come to see him specifically.

‘I think it would be a great experience to be able to go up and have an audience of fans,’ he told Rolling Stone magazine. ‘It would be very different for me, and it's something that I've never experienced.’

He added that he was currently writing material for the live show

David started working in TV in the early Eighties and was a writer at Saturday Night Live during the 1984-85 season, although only one of his sketches was ever used on the show. In 1989, he teamed up with Jerry Seinfeld for the sitcom that was to make his fortune, and mean he didn’t have to perform stand-up again.
