'Good chance' of Curb's return

...says a tight-lipped Larry David

Larry David has said ‘there’s a pretty good chance’ that Curb Your Enthusiasm will return for another series.

The show’s creator said he was writing ‘some stuff’ towards an eighth season of his acclaimed comedy.

David traditionally plays his hand close to his chest when it comes to Curb, only confirming a new series when the scripts are already in the bag.

He dropped his hints in front of 2,000 fans at a Q&A event in Beverly Hills in California, where his demeanour was described as ‘icy’, ‘testy’ and ‘frosty’.

When asked about a possible return, David said: ‘I think there's a pretty good chance. It's not definite yet, but we're working on some stuff.’

According to the Washington Post, David was especially crotchety when asked about Jerry Seinfeld, who featured prominently in series seven, which centred on David organising a reunion of his hit sitcom.

Curb star Jeff Garlin, who also executive-produces the show, said fans were always pitching him ideas for storylines, but although he has heard thousands said: ‘I’ve never heard one funny one.’
