Mitchell And Webb Look again

Fourth series shoots this week

Filming starts tomorrow on the fourth series of That Mitchell and Webb Look, after it was recommissioned by BBC Two.

Six half-hour episodes are being made, for transmission this spring.

The new run will feature guest stars including Keeley Hawes, who will play David Mitchell’s dream woman, and Vanessa Feltz, playing herself in documentary about making a documentary, as well as their usual supporting cast including Sarah Hadland and James Bachman.

Mitchell said: ‘Making a sketch show is a dream come true, and luckily not the one where I am naked and have to do my A levels again.’

And Robert Webb added: ‘I love the glamorous fun of putting on make-up and weird and wonderful costumes, and I look forward to getting back to that as soon as the sketch show is over...’

New sketches involve Nazi Germany’s answer to Dad’s Army; a cat-based snack for kids and what to do with your unwanted plutonium.

The series will be shot at Pinewood, where it will be produced by Gareth Edwards, formerly of Dead Ringers, and directed by Ben Gosling Fuller. It is an in-house BBC Vision production.
