Creche and Byrne

Jason Byrne lands TV pilot

Stand-up Jason Byrne has filmed a pilot episode of a family entertainment show for Irish broadcaster RTE.

The comic recorded the 50-minute programme, Creche Test Dummies, last night. In the programme, parents team up with their children to compete against another family in a series of ‘messy physical tasks, embarrassing questions and anarchic stunts’.

The format was developed from an idea from comedian and columnist Andrew Clover by British independent production house Brown Eyed Boy and made by its Irish sister company, Motive Television – which said the programme combined ‘humour and madcap excitement’.
