City unveils its biggest festival

The Leicester Comedy Festival has revealed the line-up of its 12th annual event.

The festival is the biggest of its kind in Britain, and this year has grown larger still, with well over 100 events.

Harry Hill performs on the opening night, February 11, and over the following ten days the city will play host to Jimmy Carr, Lee Mack, Stewart Lee, Mitch Benn, Mel and Sue and Phil Cool.

As well as the big names, there is a full range of club nights, and a diverse selection of full-length shows from comedy circuit regulars such as Jason Byrne, Mark Maier and Sarah Kendall, as well as Perrier-winner Jackson’s Way.

And on the last day of the festival, February 20, Chortle is hosting a quiz where a team of comedians and a team of comedy experts will test their knowledge of all things comedy.
