Big Yin's big gigs

Connolly to play to 67,000 fans

Billy Connolly has announced a run of 18 dates in London this autumn.

The Big Yin will be performing his show called Too Old To Die Young at the Carling Apollo in Hammersmith from September 27 until October 28.

These will be his first British appearances in more than three years, save for two charity gigs in memory of his manager Malcolm Kingsnorth in Oxford earlier this year.

He peformed in New Zealand this spring, where he filmed a new series of his World Tour Of... travelogues.

The Carling Apollo has a capacity of 3,700 - which means he will play to 67,000 people if, as expected, the run is a sell-out.
