Benefit in aid of his tour manager

Billy Connolly has announced two benefit gigs next month -his first UKappearances in three years.

The comic, who has recently completed a tour of New Zealand, is to perform at the Oxford New Theatre on April 19 and 22.

His gigs are in memory of Malcolm Kingsnorth, who was his tour manager and sound engineer for 25 years.

The theatre is also hosting benefits by Kevin Bloody Wilson (April 20) and Bjorn Again (April 21) in his memory.
