Plans to revive Men Behaving Badly have been ditched

Star Martin Clunes has ruled out a new series of the hit sitcom after the project floundered.

He told the News of the Word: "Caroline Quentin fell pregnant and there were difficulties with the timing.

"The whole thing started to have the look of compromise about it.

"I think it's best to quit while we are ahead."

Writer Simon Nye would also have had to explain why co-star Leslie Ash's Debbie character suddenly developed surgically enhanced lips.
