Bobby Mair and Harriet Kemsley on Comedy Central

'We are not a double act!'

Bobby Mair has revealed that his first date with his wife, fellow stand-up Harriet Kemsley and, was at a Wetherspoons.

The Canadian comic insisted he chose the pub chain because he didn't want any atmosphere to 'trick' Kemsley into liking him... while also reasoning that in many locations he might appear weird, but compared to the other clientele in Wetherspoons he would appear 'quite charming',

The pair host Comedy Central at the Comedy Store this week – but make it clear that they are comedians in their own right, not a double act.

'We're not Ant and Dec,' Mair points out. But I did have a drug problem and occassionally we fuck'.

Rhys James also appears on this week's show, which airs on Comedy Central at 11pm tomorrow.
