50-50 by Garfunkel and Oates

A feminist love song

Musical comics Garfunkel and Oates have released a pragmatic, feminist love song, entitled 50/50.

The song addresses the issue of compromise in relationships, saying: 'I'm going to make your dreams come true – as long as they don't interfere with mine. Anytime you need me there's a 50/50 chance I'll be there.'

But it also tackles that the truth that men are conditioned to think that they don't have to give up their dreams for love, where women have traditionally been told that's the compromise they have to make.

It is only the second song the duo –  Riki Lindhome  and Kate Micucci – have released on YouTube since their Trying To Be Special was released on Netflix two years ago.
