The closest thing to a reunion fans are likely to get

Friends fans hoping for a reunion have been given some false hope – thanks to a spoof movie trailer.

The video has mashed up screen appearances stars Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Courteney Cox have made together since the 1990s into a ‘concept’ trailer for a hoped-for film.

The three-minute video, entitled The One With The Reunion’, has gone viral, with 3 million views on YouTube channel Smasher alone.

According to the makers, it picks up a few years after the final season left off with Ross’s kids Ben and Emma grown up. Mike and Phoebe in marriage difficulties, Monica and Chandler getting a divorce, Joey still alone, and Ross and Rachel going through a rough patch.

Rumours of a Friends comeback have been rife ever since the show ended in 2004.

But two years ago, Cox said: ‘It’s just not going to happen.

‘We were 80 percent there for a reunion but there's always one person who flakes at the end. I'm not going to name names, but it may not be Schwimmer.’
