Michael Pope sold his successful midtown bike messenger company to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a filmmaker. He ran out of money and with only half of a terrible film in the corner opposite his piles of unpaid bills, he found the true spiritual meaning of 'nothing left to lose'. Faced with 'total fucking failure' and imminent eviction, he set his sights on the back pages of the Village Voice where the ad read: 'Men. Phones. No Sales.'
