Marcus' problem is that political satire can only carry you so far - then you have to funny, which is hard when not everyone in the room agrees with your intial premise. He goes on about Jimmy Carr and the tax avoidance, but then with a routine this limited he's never likely to have to have the same problems with how to manage the vast rewards of being at the top of the pile. So long as you can suspend your own poltical views for two hours it can be funny - even if the pseudo-serious propositions mkae little if any sense when applied to the real world. If he really seriously believed in what he says as much as he professes to, he'd be in politics trying to change things, not simply mocking the system.

Good review. He is a wimp. He backed out of slagging Jimmy Carr off on the radio and TV. I'd heard rumours but found it hard to believe that anybody who cares about society as much as Brigstocke says that he does would have children rather than give that money to charity or adopt. Once again, thanks for the review, I used to be interested in his comedy but I know to miss it now. More moralising nonsense from a hypocrite.
