My wife and I thouroughly enjoyed this show. Immediately on seeing Craig make his entrance I thought 'This guy is going to be funny' and I was not disappointed. If the character's 'work ethnic' is a Mexican pool cleaner then I find this an amusing play on words not a racist comment. I did not find any part of the show racist and though I am happy to concede that the performance would differ from night to night I definitely did not leave the show with the impression that I had just witnessed a show performed by a racist, rather I left very happy having spent an hour in the company of a very funny and very clever comedian who's interaction with the audience (which included an Indian lady who volunteered the fact that her job in London had actually been lost to a call centre operator in India) was excellent. This lady, like all of the audience, was laughing throughout the show. George WWIII is a character and whilst I agree with Mr Steve Bennett´s comment that 'wearing a hat' whilst repeating racism doesn´t make it any less horrible I equally agree with Craig´s point that to call him a racist is a low blow. My honest opinion, Mr Bennett, is that you have got hold of the wrong end of the stick. There is a line between being offensively racist and being genuinely funny. Craig is genuinely funny. To Craig I would say a big thank you. Enjoyed the show and found you a very warm and entertaining person. Keep up the good work. So sorry we did not have time to see your 'I am Google show'. ¡Tus amigos españoles!

It has not escaped me that the irony of this show seems to have escaped a british persons. By your comments I should now go and seek some form of help to address my underlaying racist tendancies as I did laugh at many parts of the show. I now realise I wasted all those days protesting against the Facists and Racists in the 80's and 90's and am fooling myself that I am not a racists. I was recommended to read reviews on this site with the instructions "if Steve Bennett doesn't like it it's probably worth a punt" For everyone's sake Mr Bennett get a job you like and save us from your bitter diatribes.

I did say there was no suggestion you believed the things your character was saying. I don't think you're a racist, but I still find the material unpleasant, even as a 'character'

Wow, you have really missed the point, Steve. I know the show is not for everybody, but hundreds have enjoyed the show over the last four years (which is why I do two a day) and understood that the views of the main character are my way of pointing out something I hate in my country. You have no obligation to enjoy my show, but to call me a racist in print is a low blow. You don't know anything about me so to make ad hominem attacks is out of bounds.
