I thought it was absolutely beautiful - something completely apart from the run of the mill. And all in a good way. Too often you can hear a punchline before the comedians even started the set-up, and this was the antithesis, thank goodness. Brilliant stuff.
I'm not sure i understand why this has had such a bad review and such an obviously personal comment too. As a comedian myself i could only feel a bit jealous of this show. If the beautiful comic creations he serves up aren't enough the technical wizardry and imagination will leave you i awe. This must have been a bad night cos i left feeling like i'll never be good enough after watching this man.
Suck it up, big boy. Your show was bloody nonsense! Worst thing I've seen in the festival so far sonny jim!
Fuckin hell. Straight in the nuts. I do however reckon it is a pretty accurate review of the night – my heart broke to see Chortle and the Scotsman in at the same time as two other reviewers - the show floundered around me; nothing bit from the off and the smallish crowd looked at me much in the way a dog would a clock. I’m glad it got two stars though – a three star would hurt more – the show is every idea I’ve had for a couple of years and when it goes well (as it does mostly) it really goes.
