I took a gamble with this. I'm not a huge fan of this newcomer, who has a style derivative of Jimmy Carr (see my comment on his profile). To my surprise, however, this was an entertaining hour. The delivery seems to have improved and so do the jokes. Some are still 'hit and miss', but the hit rate is gradually increasing. Perhaps this was too early for him to come to the fringe; he's only just been in the Final of Laughing Horse New Act Competition this year. A foolish decision because i suspect that this show, based on the same premise, a few years down the line with the time to craft it and add more funnies, then it could have been nominated for Best Newcomer. Not a bad effort though this year, but Alex, you should've waited. 2 stars.
