Stuart Black: Pale And Confused
Intelligent, twisted, dark and very funny. Stuart Black's solo show is a provocative and heart-warming look at life.

Why isn't this reviewed? Stuart's had great Chortle reviews in the past and his debut fringe show just seems to have been overlooked by critics. I saw this show and it was excellently constructed with Black making logical leaps from topic-to-topic, which is an important quality for any surrealist. Some parts of audience interaction were rather boring though as they seemed to go nowhere; it felt like a bit of padding to be fair. Other parts, however, remain as inspired comedy gems with brilliantly bitter lines and quotable jokes. All hail Mr Black. Some of us give him the appreciation and applause he truly deserves for this marvellous debut effort. Marcia Connor, July 2009 |
