Well the egg thing doesn't happen as he has only done 3 of the 6 segments required. In typical Stewart Lee fashion, though, he wrings a laugh from this anyway. Throughout the show he comments on how well bits are going - always in a way to get you to laugh. The three bits he had written I hadn't seen before so may or may not have been old. They rely heavily on his way on endless repeating things until they are much funnier than the first time and for most of the hour it works well. The first bit is a throwaway bit based on the chaos that is the fringe booking system but he then moves on to the first properly written bit about a comedy album he bought in the 90s. Doesn't sound like promising material but 15ish minutes of repetition, sarcasm and slowly leading the audience to share his own conclusions are classic Lee. The rest of show continues in the same vein until the conclusion which has the audiences in stitches until the punchline. At that point the self commentary returns and he is so good at it that you are never quite sure if he put a duff punchline in so that he could comment or that his adlibbing is so effortless it just seems that way. A bit of a work in progress but well worth a trip
