Will Adamsdale: Human Computer

Will Adamsdale: Human Computer

Show type: Edinburgh Fringe 2007

Starring: Will Adamsdale

Returning to comedy after his 2004 Perrier win, Will Adamsdale, a computer novice, traces his own relationship with the infernal machines through school, college dissertations and a beginner’s course at the Brixton library by transforming himself into a Human Computer and submitting himself to external control by a human mouse.

Will explores the files of his memory, dodges the spam that threatens to engulf him, and embarks on a comic meditation on the weird world of man and machine accompanied by a couple of icons he met on the way. It’s stories. It’s a cardboard cabaret. It’s a quest to the wiry heart of the cyberweb with one of the UK’s most original and unique performers.

Reviews

Will Adamsdale: Human Computer

There are moments in Will Adamsdale’s very clever – yet simultaneously very stupid – show that are almost guaranteed to reduce you to helpless laughter.
