To go on the last night of the Fringe to any show, is to view the performer either at the end of their tether, suffering from festival flu or drunk. Mark however still had the happiness of well actually in going to Mark's performance in previous years No one has the happiness of Mark Olver. He even smiles as he waved goodbye to some of his jokes that he will never do again. (Though it would be a shame to say goodbye to the pacemaker joke) . Whereas you can watch some comedians gainfully pull themselves through their gig, with Mark it seems like a faultless effort of wanting to make these temporary friends in front of him laugh. A fantastic comedian who realises that the art isn't just making them laugh but making them remember you. Alan G, August 2007 |
