Greedy [2007]
The Greedies are back with another brand new sexy, slick, stupendous sketch show and fantastic feel good sound track.
In their mission to deliver the most effective antidote to the world’s decline into a coma of seriousness, nothing is too silly or too strange for the Greedy treatment.
So step inside and meet some of the strangely surreal characters who populate the World of Greedy; A mad scientist who discovers the elixir for invisibility; a nasty vicar who WILL get them into church no matter what, a doctor with strange ideas on helping old people and the woman who has a whole relationship in one minute!
And everyone’s favourite dinosaurs, the T-Rex’s are back tackling more parlour games.
Cast: Rachel Egan, Louie Bayliss, Alan Freestone, Felicity Wren, James Wren

Original Review:
What an absolute treat this show is. Four talented actors with superb comic timing, flawless physical comedy and great writing. This is a true ensemble piece with no egos in the line-up. Each actor gives over to each other, creating a wonderfully fluid piece of comic theatre. Each sketch is delightfully silly, whether it is the T-Rex nativity play or the excessive use of hot towels by a woman in a restaurant. There are some side-splitting punchlines, many of which are physical gags. The four performers are tight physical comedians, making the show seem cartoonish at times, especially in some of the facial expressions. Stylized acting seemed to pay homage to slapstick and Carry On films, but with less hamming and more depth to the performances. Clever physical gags save the odd predictable setup, but the performances were such a joy, I can forgive them the odd bit of unsurprising material. Reviewed by: Rosie Carnahan |

I absolutely adored this - what a pleasant surprise! Whipsmart writing, excellent acting and the sort of clever thinking that defines loopy genius in comedy. The recalcitrant timpanist stole the show from every other Edinburgh show. Ida, October 2007 |
