Cirque de Sabotage Show type: Edinburgh Fringe 2007
Cirque de Sabotage

I agree. Too harsh a review. I caught this show on a whim and had a good time. I thought some of the sketches were very witty and the cast impressive comic actresses with great timing. I agree that it could do with some tightening and the more slapstick circus scenes fell a bit flat - but you don't go to see fringe shows for perfect polished shows, you go to see new interesting talent. Which this was.

I have to say I feel this review was slightly harsh on the performances given by 3 clearly talented girls. I felt the writing was sharp and the gags were flowing nicely throughout the show. Bates and Emerson have come up with some clever lines of which seem obvious but never before been thought of. Particular favourites included the sketch with the three wise men and a somewhat uncanny impression of Sir Alan Sugar. Catriona Knox is also a great a addition to a already talented duo. I wish them luck in a clearly bright future ahead.
